The Gift, a story

The Gift was a school project. For a photography class, I was given an assignment to write and illustrate a children’s book. I hit upon the idea of telling a traditional fairy tale but with contemporary imagery—people in modern clothes and locations. So I wrote an original story (based on age-old themes) and had my friends play the parts.
