“He who is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone”

2017. Watercolor, ink, color pencil. 8½" x 6½"

The well know story of the woman accused of adultery found in John 8:2–11. One of my favorite stories and very relevant today. Throughout history religious folks—including Christians—have tended to scapegoat certain groups of people who commit certain sins (whether real or perceived). Jesus reminds us that it is not our place to condemn, and in fact he forgives everyone of all sin.
