In 2006 I particpated in a collaborative book-making project. 16 of us were given a chapter of Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino and asked to make an edition of 20 books based on the text.

These were some of the smaller interior illustrations that preceded a long fold-out illustration.

The text describes miserable people living in a miserable city. I wanted the pictures to feel crowded, dingy & uncomfortable.
