Puddleglum (the tall fellow in the middle) is a character form C.S. Lewis’ excellent book, The Silver Chair. He is not a witch (nor is he a “she”); he is a marshwiggle, a creation of Lewis. Marshwiggles live in wigwams in the midst of swamps, and have very dour, morose personalities. He is probably my favorite character from the entire Chronicles of Narnia series. On either side of Puddleglum sit the young human children Eustace and Jill, who will soon join the marshwiggle on an adventure.
