Adam and Eve

Watercolor, pen and ink, color pencil.

I’ve received several comments on the serpent, wondering why he has wings and feet. According to the story in Genesis, the serpent was condemned to forever crawl upon his belly as punishment after tricking Adam and Eve. It therefore seems logical to assume that before he was so cursed, he would have had legs or some other mode of locomotion.

Note that my version of “paradise” is a birch forest.
