2006
Paper (various).
In 2006 I took a bookmaking class. Everyone in the class created an edition book which we exchanged with one another (20 copies each). Each book was based on a different chapter (city) of Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities. I choose "Hidden Cities Three" which told the tale of the fanciful city Raissa.
The book uses an accordion structure—the front of the pages contain short passages and small squared-up illustrations. The back of the accordion page is one long illustration which the text winds through.
In addition to the 20 editions of the book, I made a clamshell box to hold them all.
