Two freighters

I built these with/for my daughters. Rachel and I made the green one in 2000; I did the cutting, fastening and detail work, she designed the smokestack and helped with the painting. Ellie and I built her boat two years later. Each girl chose her own color.

These boats are meant to be played-with (in the lake), so they don't contain the level of detail seen in the Ryerson model.

I recreated the green boat as a digital 3-D model and put in in an animation called The Room, which you can watch here.
