While this may not be the greatest photo in terms of aesthetics, it's pretty cool in terms of subject matter. This is not a fake; it hasn't been retouched in any way. But it's also not a real flying saucer—it's a cloud formation. I watched it form over the Minnesota River on a stormy day in early September. It was serendipitous that I happened to have my (new) camera with me (I had brought it to work to show it off).
