In November 1985 I got a new camera, a Nikon F3 (then their top-of-the-line model). I had been shooting with a Pentax K1000. Over the next several years I would use both—often with one loaded with color film and the other with black & white. When I got the Nikon it came with a free roll of Fugi color film. This is the first photo I took with that film, the first image I took with my Nikon. It was taken along Angell Street on College Hill, near Weeler School.

I still have both my Pentax and Nikon film cameras; but these days they mostly sit on a shelf collecting dust, for I now use a Nikon D70 digital camera.
