My father assists his first grandchild as she plays in the surf. He was trying to keep his shoes dry. Rachel was 17 months old at the time. The photo was taken at the Thorne Swift Nature Preserve.

I liked this image so much I thought I'd do a painting based on it. However, I only got as far as the sketch, seen here.
