Right in the middle of Richfield, a first-ring suburb of Minneapolis, is this oasis—a nature center built around a small lake. It's a bit of a secret—you can't see it from the surrounding roads and the entrance is somewhat hidden on a small out-of-the-way street behind a high-rise retirement condominium. But once you get inside the preserve you feel like you're out in the country (save for the retirement high-rises poking up above the tree line).
