Highland Lake, NY
The bridge spanned a narrow section of the lake at Camp Koinonia in upstate New York. The majority of the bridge floated on the lake surface (making for a very bouncy crossing—not good for folks with motion sickness). Sometime around 1987 a newer, more stable bridge was built just north of this one (and near the remants of an even older one). You can see the newer bridge with Google Earth at 41°32'51.45"N, 74°50'8.38"W. Sometime after 1987 the floating bridge must have collapsed or was removed, for it is not visible via Google Earth. However, I think you can sort of make out it's footprint at 41°32'47.89"N, 74°50'7.47"W.
