This is as a study for a larger piece that I never completed. The inspiration for the painting comes from Revelation 1 and 19:

And when I turned I saw...someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow...His feet were like bronze... His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True...He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God...On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
