Oil or acrylic paintings

I debated calling this section "fine art" to distinguish it from my watercolor section which features more illustration, but that sounded a bit too pretentious. I've always considered myself more of an illustrator, but I admit that drawing a line between illustration and fine art can be difficult at times; I still haven't found definitions for either term that I'm completely satisfied with. So I decided to dispense entirely with the issue. Instead I have labeled my sections by media, a distinction that is far more clear-cut and thus easy to make.

The works in this section were all made using either oils or acylic paints. I love painting with these media, but I find that I don't get to use them as often as I'd like; most of my work these days involves digital media (digital illustration, animation, Web design, video, etc.). Thus I consider it a real treat when I have the time or opportunity to pull-out the paint brushes and paints.
