I have created the object I initially wanted. It looks different than everyone else’s cell phone, inside and out. Additionally, I have come to a better understanding of what material acquisition really buys me, and what I want out of the things that become my personal items. Throughout this process, I have become more disconnected to the phone as well - I see the phone as more of an external object than personal attribute of me personally—which is ironic, considering it has never been more unique to me.
