Fauns

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I went through a mythology kick in the 90s (centaurs, mermaids, faeries, marshwiggles, etc.). Fauns are derived from Roman mythology and are similar to the Greek satyrs (though experts will tell you there are some important differences). One of the more well-known fauns in contemporary literature is Mr. Tumnus from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. This faun is not Tumnus however, his name is Nilenlöet, and he's more or less my creation (with an assist from my friend Nick).
