My family has a large navigational chart of this particular region dating from 1953. Alas, the years have taken their toll on it as it has faded and become hopelessly out of date. For years I tried to find an new one, but could not (they simply don’t make them that size anymore). So I decided to make my own. Using data from current navigational charts, road maps, aerial photos (pre-Google Earth), and my own observations, I created this map from scratch.
