This is one of a series I did called American Entitlement, which explores the notion that American culture perpetuates the myth that we are all entitled to things that would otherwise be considered luxuries: wealth, status, perfect bodies, gas-guzzling cars, big houses, and all of the natural resources we can get our hands on (think about how many ads say things like "you deserve this"). Coupled with this is a complete disregard for the needs/desires of others.
