The Paul F. Swank

1974, age 7
Crayon .

Unlike most of the ships I drew as a child, the Paul F. Swank is not an actual freighter. This is a drawing of a large (five-foot) working model that my father built many years ago (the apple does not fall far from the tree...). He named it after a friend of the family (who in turn built model freighters, including a model of the Harry Coulby, which my father inherited).
