Artwork: Mohave Desert

Mohave Desert

1985, age 18
Acrylic

After I had painted pyramids & pool balls, my art teacher thought it was time for me to explore non-representational art. He gave me an assignment to do an abstract painting to be titled "Mohave Desert." As you can see, I couldn't completely break free from representationism.

This painting ended up getting 2nd place in a county-wide high-school art contest. It should have won.
