Know Your Ships is an annual publication put out by Roger LeLievre, that lists Great Lakes vessels (“the boatwatchers’ bible”). By the late 70s I had amassed a large numer of model ships that I had built from scratch (see some examples here ). In addition, my father, uncle, siblings, and some cousins had also built a number of ship models. So I decided it was time to catalog them in my own version of Know Your Ships. The cover illustration features a fanciful interpretation of the Quin, a boat that I built for my sister Kathy.
